The Basics
- SOP (Statement of Purpose): An essay about you. Why you want to study there.
- LOR (Letter of Recommendation): A letter from your teacher saying you are a good student (even if you weren’t).
- GPA (Grade Point Average): Your marks converted to a 4.0 scale. (Usually, 60% is around 3.0, but it varies).
- Transcript: Official list of all your marks from college.
The Offers
- Conditional Offer: “We will take you IF you get 6.5 in IELTS.”
- Unconditional Offer: “You are in. Just pay the deposit.”
- CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies): A document from a UK university you need for the Visa.
- I-20: The same thing, but for the USA.
